Our story

Where Fleet Technology comes from

Fleet Technology’s origins go back to 2009, when Alexander Kirn founded the first search fundA search fund is a vehicle through which an entrepreneur raises capital from a group of investors to find, acquire and then lead the company for the long term. The model originated at Stanford in 1984 and is used most often in succession situations. in Germany. With the acquisition of INVERS and LapID in 2012, mobility technology became the group’s core focus and growth driver. Alexander Kirn

Alexander is a technology entrepreneur and investor. Advancing mobility technology while building successful businesses for the long term is what drives him.

He started his entrepreneurial career at the age of 14 with an internet business. Since the acquisition of INVERS and LapID, the two companies have grown from 35 to more than 230 employees, joined by the group’s investment in carValoo.

Alexander also serves as CEO of INVERS and co-founded Search Fund Pioneers to mentor and support the next generation of search fund entrepreneurs.

He holds a B.A. HSG in Economics from the University of St. Gallen and an MBA from Harvard Business School, and lives in Cologne with his wife and three children.
